About Us
River City Smoker was started when family members from Consolidated Metal Product, Inc. in Wyoming, Michigan could not find a commercially available smoker that had all the features and the quality that we were looking for.
Another important factor is the ease of use to provide the cooking results that they were looking for. They combined their interest of creating delicious smoked meat entrees with products they fabricated at the family business. River City Smoker was born, fabricated with high quality virgin steel, precision cut laser cutting.
The smoker is formed using the latest computer forming and bending technology. The corners and joints are welded and rounded to insure a good seal for the high temp powder coating. Final assembly of grates, wheels and fenders, temperature gauges, and controls are done right here in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We built the first smoker and lent it to butcher shop for testing because they would use it every day. They gave us the feedback of how well it cooked, and they wanted to see how well it would hold up over time. They ended up purchasing it.
At River City Smoker we take great pride in producing each smoker. We don’t shave corners when it comes to building materials and workmanship.
